Good morning! Today is a new day and full of new beginnings!
I apologize for not posting updates lately. You could say I fell off the wagon and my recover time was very slow. My life, like many others, was put in a tail spin with family illness and starting a new job and just general busyness. So much that I put my eating on the back burner so to speak and discovered this morning I gained a couple of pounds.
So today is a new beginning! At church the pastor is doing a study through the book of James and the title of the series is called "Real Life". Trials will come in life but we should never lose focus on the One who gives us strength! I was looking over the sermon notes from this Sunday and found great strength in this scripture - "We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love." Romans 5:3-5 NLT
In my devotional this morning was this scripture - "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." Matthew 3:17
I know God loves me no matter where I am in this journey. No matter if I am on the wagon or off, but my hearts desire is to please Him with every action and choice I make no matter the circumstances!
I want to endure! I will endure! Have a blessed day!!

90 Day Challenge - Second 30 Day phase Day 4 Lost 3.8lbs & 2"
Today I am going to explain what I do between each 30 Day phase. I break up the challenge into three 30-Day phases and at the end of each phase I have a "cheat" meal. I have a meal of whatever I want, so if I want fried fish, pizza, or whatever, that's what I eat. Sometimes having that "cheat" meal will shock the body and give new energy to the body's weight loss process. This "cheat" meal I had a hamburger, fries and french silk pie- something I haven't had in about 4 months. It tasted great!
Depending how much or what I eat for my "cheat" meal will determine where I start back on my eating plan. I decided to start back on day 1 and cleanse my body of the junk I just put in it. As a result I lost 3.8lbs and 2 inches on my second day 4, pushing me past the plateau I have been on. Perseverance has brought me the blessing!
Today in my devotional it talked about being honest with myself and my issues and how they affect me spiritually, physically and mentally. It also talked about how nothing changes until we make the choice to change. No one can make the choice for us. We have to want it for ourselves and not anyone else. The result will affect all areas of our life! We were made for victory!!
Press on!!

90 Day Challenge Day 30 (a couple days late) - Lost 2.8lbs. and no inches
Ok I apologize for this post delay. I had a sick child that needed my attention and took me out of town for about a week. However I stayed on track and by day 30, I lost 2.8lbs!
For the full 30-Days I lost 5.2lbs and 7.75 inches. I would have liked to have lost more but I am very happy with the progress. In 4 months I have lost 36 lbs.
Today I began my next 30-Days and continue to press forward. In one of my devotion days it talks about how sometimes we think of our food issues as a small thing. But I have come to realize and learn that my food issues affect many areas of my life. When I am eating right and physically feel good then I am happier, my mood is better and I feel better spiritually. Our bodies are temples paid for at a high price and when I put trash in I feel miserable and depressed. But when I am taking care of the temple God gave me, I feel better, act better and my relationship with Him is closer. So I don't see the food issues I have as a "little thing" because they have a major influence in all aspects of my life: physical, emotional and spiritual.
Take care of your body! It is important! I promise it will improve your life and you won't regret it!
Blessings,
Karey

90 Day Challenge Day 25 - 0.2lbs and 1.75" lost
Good Morning! All I can say is every little bit counts!
My body has not been wanting to let go of pounds but I am still losing inches. I know it is discouraging when you hit a plateau and nothing seems to budge. In the past I would have thrown up my hands and said well this is just the way I am suppose to be but I am not going to do that. It will only lead to the scale going up and I don't want that for sure. I must persevere to receive my blessing in this trial!
To help me on this journey I have been reading "Made to Crave Devotional" by Lysa TerKeurst and today was about "Blessings Ahead" and the Thought of the Day was "Between any trial and the blessing that comes from that trial, there is a pathway I must walk - that pathway is perseverance." What a perfect thought for anyone who is in a plateau mode! The only way to receive that blessing at the end is to persevere, push forward to the prize. To do anything else would just be moving backwards to go through the trial even longer.
I love what my devotion said today - "I have finally realized making lasting changes is a process. There are no quick fixes. There will be good days and bad days. But, most importantly, I've realized this isn't as much about losing weight as it is gaining truth - the truth of who I am in Christ and how I am made for more than this constant, self-defeating struggle." Made to Crave Devotional
I encourage you to push through with perseverance and to not allow a plateau to push you backward. The prize is ahead and a blessing you will receive. We were made for more! We were made for victory!

Ok today is my day 18 of my second 90-day challenge. No loss this week. I am disappointed but I will not let it stop me. I will push through this and start losing again because I am determined. 90-Day Challenge Weigh Day 7 - 0 lbs and 1.5" lost
Good morning! Today is my day 7 and I didn't lose any pounds but I did lose 1.5" in my measurements. If I allowed my success to be dictated by the numbers on the scale, I would have been very discouraged in the past but I don't feel that way today. Yes I do wish I had lost pounds but I did lose inches which is awesome. I also need to look back at what I have done in the last few days and I have been doing what I should in my eating and recommitted to exercise. I was on the road yesterday traveling and know that can affect my body and weight. When looking at my choices and other factors, I see this as a successful weigh day and press on toward my goal!

90-Day Challenge Weigh Day 4
Loss - 1 lb. and 2"
Today is my day 4. I weighed this morning and lost 1 lb and 2 inches. I weigh in the mornings because it is the best time to get a true accurate weight. Your stomach is empty and ready for the day. I measure after I weigh because even if your scale doesn't move much or at all you can still lose inches. I measure my arms, thighs, bust, waist and hips. I also write everything in a journal. This helps me stay focused and helps with accountability.I have been a little lazy on my exercise too so I began back on a regular routine this morning. Exercise is key to weight loss. It is important to find something you enjoy so you will stick to it. I have workout videos I do and I alternate between them so I don't get bored. Walking is also great exercise. You can start out slow and build up on time, distance and pace. I promise you will feel better if you get some type of exercise.
Don't get me wrong this is work. It takes commitment. I don't do things perfectly and I have weak moments but what is important is I recognize and correct my behavior. I try not to beat myself up about it either. If I harp on my mistakes, it only leads to more mistakes and eventually giving up. I don't want to go back to where I was!
Blessings to everyone!

Products - Body FX
Here is another product I use. These shakes are an awesome meal replacement. In my program I have shakes the first two days at each meal with a serving of fruit at breakfast, and with salad and veggies at lunch and dinner. Then from day 3 to 10, I continue my shake and fruit for breakfast and replace my lunch and dinner shake with a protein. Starting day 11 to 30, you can replace your breakfast shake with a dairy/egg selection and add bread/grain to lunch and dinner. I continue to have the shakes for breakfast because first they taste great and are quick and easy.

Products - XanoLean Supreme
Here is one of the products I take daily. It has been a blessing for me. I have many eating issues - over-eating, stress eating, addictive eating (I love sweets and bread). This product has helped with all of those issues and more.
Starting my 2nd 90-Day Ultimate Body Challenge - Day 1
Ok..... Today is day 1 of my second challenge. I will post my progress on my weigh days as I go. I cannot express how great I feel physically and mentally! I have tried so many things and all would work somewhat for a while but my will power would give out and I would gain everything and then some back. I just got tired of the vicious cycle! I feel like I have found the missing link in the FirstFitness Nutrition products. I feel so great about it I want to share with others what I have found and maybe help someone else overcome the vicious cycle in their weight loss journey. I also discovered a wonderful book I read before I started my first 90-days. The title is "Made to Crave" by Lysa TerKeurst. The other key has been my wellness coach who has helped keep me accountable and walked with me every step of the way! This program is not just about the products but about really helping others achieve their goals with support, encouragement and accountability. To me it has given me health, hope and freedom and I want to share that with others! Have a blessed day!
